How long do you need a Photographer?
Throughout the years of experience talking to the couples, the very common question they ask is How long do they need the photographer for their wedding.
My advice is simple—set aside some time together to map out a basic timeline of your day. Most couples start with an 8-hour package, especially if they want “getting ready” photos. Just remember to factor in travel time if you’re getting ready in different locations. If the bride and groom are in the same hotel (just different rooms), it becomes much easier and can even work with a 6-hour package—though coverage during the reception will be limited. In most cases, couples enter the reception and go straight into the cake cutting, so we make sure to capture the key details early.
For couples who want every moment preserved from start to finish, the 10-hour package is ideal. It covers everything—from preparations all the way to the sparkler exit. It’s the most relaxed option because you won’t need to worry about squeezing photography into the schedule; everything naturally fits in.
The 10 hours package includes the preparation to exit sparklers. This is the package if the couple wants to get every detail of the day. This can avoid stress on figuring out where to put the photography side of it.
